Femme en Fourrure tekee musiikkia catwalkeille ja DJ:ille. Vasta ilmestynyt ensimmäinen albumi on minimalistista äänimaisemaa ja arvoituksellisia lauluvokaaleja yhteen liittävä rakkauden lapsi. Harvakseltaan esiintyvä yhtye saapuu Aistiin triona ja lupaa keikalle tanssirytmin lisäksi kylmiä kitara- ja syntetisaattorisoundeja.

FEF was borne out of frustration with harmonies, out of abyssal personal crises and became to serve as a cheap therapist, as an outlet to vent material and experiment. Those experiments slowly evolved into lullabies, lullabies which were starting to make some waves in the proverbial puddle. The general public got interested. Thus the real journey began, although at first accompanied only by few key elements we needed in order to advance. Pulse and rhythm. A slow procession of wispy neo-feminist mantras whispered into the air.

The journey took us deeper into the puddle, which soon transformed into an ocean. More musical elements were soon to follow. They were new plateaus on our voyage. At the same time they were ours, uniformly ours and no one else’s. They became more deliberate and cohesive. And so – we have drudged through the primordial sea and emerged as evolved beings. Our music became championed by DJ’s and fashion designers alike. Just as well – it was made for them in the first place.

Now, FEF released their debut album on Jon Convex’s Convex Industries. A labour of love and culmination of two years of hard work, it is an artwork. Now, time has become to evolve again for evolution is an ongoing process. FEF as an entity shall always look and move towards the eternity. This is reflected also live-wise: the current live incarnation of FEF consists of three people, eerie Seattle guitar sounds and glacial, icy synths.
